I.V. Sedation is the process of administering a sedative drug directly into the blood stream. While under sedation most patients experience a state of deep relaxation and partial memory loss from the time the drug is administered until it wears off. The patient is closely monitored throughout the procedure with monitoring equipment. Dr. Darling is certified in (ACLS) Advanced Life Support as well as all members of our surgical staff are certified in (BLS) Basic Life Support for Healthcare. I.V. Sedation is designed to make your visit as painless and comfortable as possible.
